Together we are a community of believers. What does that mean, the word community? We believe that together in fellowship we grow closer to God and one another. The bible speaks about iron sharpening iron. We believe that together we grow stronger.
Weekly Home Teams are another important part of our church. Home Teams provide a small group environment for people to study the Bible, pray together, and encourage one another in their relationship with Jesus Christ. It is in hometeams where people truly connect, and are cared for in a biblical way.
Crossroads exists to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to accomplish this goal through our Sunday morning worship service and our weekly Home Teams and communtity outreach.
1. Elevate Christ in all we do.
2. Create thriving relationships not only within the church, but in the communities we serve.
3. Be the hands and feet of Christ in the communities around us.
We highly value our relationships with one another. We look to grow through fellowship, and ultimately growing closer to God. We value the word of God, and the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We look to extend grace to all of the lost and broken, and lead those with no hope to the hope of Jesus Christ.
Crossroads first began meeting in homes in 1998 with the idea that we would be a purpose driven church, placing the importance of individual relationships with God above all else. This progressed to meeting at the Association office and in 1999 we called a full-time pastor from Texas. We then began meeting in his garage on Sundays. From there we purchased a wooded parcel of land (10 acres) and began to build. For one year we met on a concrete slab in 20-degree weather (yes it does get cold here) and in 100-degree weather (and it does get hot too!). We would meet newcomers with blankets or fans; which ever was necessary. Believe it or not, it never rained us out that year.
